Membership
What does it mean to become a member of the United Methodist Church? Why would I want to consider membership? In the United Methodist Church, membership is a public acceptance of the Christian faith as outlined in the Scriptures and a fulfillment of Christ's call to be the church, to nurture one another in the Christian faith. If you need more information, or you are interested in becoming a member, you can contact us through this website, or call the Rosebush UMC office at 989-433-2957.

Baptism
In the United Methodist Church, baptism can take place at any stage of life. At times, infants are baptized while at other times, the decision to be baptized as made as an adult. Either is fine. When an infant is baptized, the parents or guardians are committing the child to faith in Christ and are making a solemn commitment to raise that child in the Christian faith.
As an adult, baptism is initiated by the decision of the adult to accept the Christian faith as outlined in the Bible and Apostles Creed. Adult baptism is a willful decision inviting the work of the Holy Spirit to dominate and change the life of the believer. Regardless of the stage of life you may be in, baptism is a sacrament that offers new life to all regardless of age.
